1) How is it born your passion for cosplay?

My first convention was Otakon 2002 in Baltimore, MD. I went as Sorceress Edea from Final Fantasy 8 and Claire Redfield from Resident Evil 2 - I loved how it felt to dress up as characters that I admire. I have always had a need to express my creativity, and i've done it in many different ways including web design, drawing, interior design, and of course, cosplay. My full time job does not involve anything in the art field, so cosplay gives me the chance to showcase my creations, and I love how that feels.

2) Which is the cosplay in which did you get involved much more?

I have put a lot of work and effort into my Sorceress Edea (from Final Fantasy 8) costume. I have re-made the headpeice several times as my skills have improved. I also put a lot of work and thought into my Sorceress Ultimcia (Final Fantasy 8) costume. Everything on that costume was carefully planned out and sketched before making it.
In general, I would say that I put a lot of effort into just about everything I make - i'm very picky with details, especially in my clay and prop work. I like things to be smooth and glossy, so I spend a lot of time sanding the things that I make with clay.

3) What do you feel when you wear the dress of your favourite characters?

My Sorceress Edea and Sorceress Ultimecia (Final Fantasy 8) are my favorite costumes so far. I have put a lot of work into them, and I actually did meet my husband in my Edea costume while he was dressed as Seifer Almasy (also from Final Fantasy 8). I love the comments I get about the headpeice, and I also love to answer questions about it! It feels really good to get good feedback on something you've worked so hard to create.
Sorceress Ultimecia is a costume I have wanted to make ever since I first started cosplaying back in 2002, but I never felt I had enough skill to make it until 2005, and I am very proud of how it came out!

4) Do you usually make the dresses you wear?

When I first started out in cosplay, I did a lot of altering of already-made garments. Now, I have progressed to making about 90% of every costume I wear. I usually end up sewing or sculpting just about every part of my costumes, mostly because I don't want to take the time to find something already made that will work. However, if I do happen to come across something in a store that is perfect for what I want, I will go with it simply to save time since I am so busy!!

5) Do you buy or make your accessorizes?

A lot of my accessories and little details are hand made by me. I love to make jewlery and bead garments. I also love to make props and accessories with clay, so I am more likely to make my own acessories simply because I enjoy doing it. I would say that is my favorite part about making a costume.

6) How many cosplay have you had performed till now?

I don't like to compete any more, and I have not done many skits at conventions. I try to keep what I do fun and less for the competition. I have a very busy and hectic life, so I really don't want my hobby to be the same way. As for number of costumes I have completed...I beleive the number is currently up to about 35 (including costumes I have made for others)
